Compressible, it shrinks to the size of an orange for easy storage in your pack or jacket pocket. The new version of the Couloir features a breathable, streamlined construction using single-strand Vary-width Dynex webbing for lightweight durability. It has a quick-release buckle on the waist belt with easy-to-adjust tabs and leg loops that are simple to put on while keeping your skis or crampons on. The Couloir also includes our patented Infinity belay loop—a durable, low-profile loop that prevents unwanted twisting due to seams. In addition to the two Ice Clipper ice screw loops on the waist belt, it has an integrated ice screw loop on each leg loop to reduce metal rattling during long approaches and gentle glacier travel, and two webbing gear loops allow you to organize your cords, extra carabiners and other essential accessories.
